Leadership Profile of Bhagat Singh

BACKGROUND

Leadership is a quality which makes man a responsible and loyal towards goals person. Bhagat Singh who is famous freedom fighter of India. He protest against British rule. He was born on 27 September 1907 in Lyallpur western Punjab, his father Sardar Kishan Singh Sandhu and mother Vidyavati. When he was his father and uncle Ajit and Sawan Singh were in jail for demonstration. Bhagat Singh studied till fifth class in his village after he moved for further studies in Khalsa college. At very young age, he started following Non-Cooperation movement which is started by Mahatma Gandhi. Two incidence during his teenage gave him a patriotic outlook- Jallianwala Bhag masacre and killing of unarmed Akali protesters at Nankana Sahib.

CONNECTION TO THE PRACTICAL MODEL THE WAY

Bhagat Singh became famous especially in youngster due to his bravery. He was inspired from his Uncle. Bhagat Singh set an example of dedication, courage and sacrifice for all. Properly he known as Shaeed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. He was hanged because of killing a British police officer on March 23 ,1931. He was found guilty due to it. “ Instead of hanging they shooter him”. He wrote a letter which consists of “Since I was arrested during the war.i can’t be punished in hanging. Let me be thrown in the mouth of cannon”.This shows his braveness and the felling for his nation along with the associate, he throw bombs in central assembly,Delhi. They don’t want to injure anyone then the bombs were made to low grade explosives. “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing other”-Jack Welch.

INSPIRE A SHARED VISION

When powers is misused it translate into violence; but when it is used for achieving one’s righteous goal, it amounts justice. Revolution against britishers was started by Bhagat Singh. He, Sukhdev and Rajguru were three most famous revolutionaries at that time. For this reason, he often referred as Martyr Bhagat Singh. At such a young age, if anyone was smiling just before being hanged to death, it was Shaeed Bhagat Singh

CHALLENGE THE PROCESS

Live isn’t a bed of roses. As a leader you will sometimes have to make personal scarifies for your country, which people might not angry at the end of the day, you sometimes have to be a tough leader to achieve results. Good leader always sets an example in front of the country. If you want expect your team to be hard workers, then should be a hard worker.On March 23, Bhagat Singh was hanged for shooting police officer J.P. Sounders who was responsible for killing Lala Lajpat Rai in a Lathi Charge. He was cremated on the banks of river Satluj.

REFLECTION

Bhagat Singh is my inspirational leader because of Many reasons. He inspired the people to go for justice, bravery and peace. He is not just a martyr but an idea that we all need to think deeply about. He taught us about religion, expressions, freedom and much more. He gave up religion, religious beliefs and ideologies and expounded the thought of why he did so in his work – Why I am an Atheist.He taught ud present generation needs to shed the appendages of religious beliefs and have faith in its own abilities to attain the goal, not depending upon the tell-tale signs and symbols of religious practice to supposedly serve as a guide to wade through the byzantine maze of life.There is a very famous quote of Bhagat Singh – “Zindagi to apne dum pe jee jaatee hai, doosron ke kandhey par to sirf janaze uthaye jaate hain.” (Life is lived on one’s ownstrength, other’s shoulders are used only for carrying the coffin). This quote inspires me alot in spiritual way specially. It gives the self confidence for achieving our goal without anybody’s help. It makes man confident from inside. He is the most selfless person I ever known in my life. It was the heart for his leadership. When he was kept in the prison and he was told that he will be realized but he has to stop the work he is doing, he clearly refused them. He stands by his principles and all he wanted was freedom and equality for his people. He had that spirit of forgiveness. All the qualities of Bhagat Singh inspires me alot and give hope how to live life and how to tackle problems and how to become strong from inside.Thank you sir.
